has it been a week already? it's hard to believe. i've been at work the last 5 days, but we have still squeezed in some fun stuff. a visit into our life over the past 7 or so odd days:

on the needles: my first color work, a hat for reese...was very pleased with it until i tried to squeeze it over is fat little noggin today and realized it will only fit if i cut it in half. sigh. will finish the project and decide how to proceed...might have to be a gift for one of the many new babies arriving soon...
this week, and forever, we remember aunt isabel (is/isy). she'd turn up her nose if i got too trite, so instead i will say that this week, and forever, we celebrate a truly unique individual. is was remarkably intelligent, accomplished, and thoughtful, a wonderful friend, wife, sister, aunt, and grandmother. is welcomed me with the openest of arms the moment david mentioned my name to her, and quickly became my most loyal penpal. she was a great friend to me and a dear aunt to david. we are so grateful she was able to meet reese and eliana isabel, who is named for this impressive woman. her bravery, strength, resilience, and stunning sense of humor in the face of any and every challenge will always be an example to us of the grace and will with which we can approach whatever we are dealt. we will miss her advice, guidance, conversation and company; we wish the kids could have known her better. we will honor her memory at every opportunity. goodbye is, we love you.
